AP Studios / Commissioned: Republic Restaurant and Bar

You never know where a drink will take you.  While having a cocktail at re:public restaurant and bar, I struck up a conversation with bartender Rory McCormick–one of re:public’s three owners.  A few drinks in and we were planning a food photo shoot featuring their lunch and dinner offerings, and a few back of the house shots.

Rory and his crew timed the South Lake Union transition perfectly, adding a hint of hip to the ever expanding Amazon culture.  Keeping it local, Rory salvaged the “P” hanging in the back of the restaurant from the old Paramount sign and sourced all of the vintage artwork and lighting from Georgetown’s Kirk Albert. A great atmosphere, delicious food, and a killer whisky selection makes this a go-to happy hour spot. See kids, sometimes drinking does pay…
