Fresh4-awards

Working as the creative director and photographer of Darigold FRESH for the last five years has been a crazy and exciting ride. Creating a publication like FRESH takes months of hard work, but holding the magazine in my hands at the end makes it all worth it. It’s always nice when we receive a few blue ribbons in the mail too!

FRESH won the “Best in Show” publication award at the annual meeting of the NCFC (National Council of Farmer Cooperatives). NCFC includes members from all across the dairy industry along with other cooperatives with brands like Blue Diamond, Florida’s Natural, Ocean Spray, Sunkist, and Welch’s. Check out this direct quote of comments from the judges regarding FRESH:

“A perfect score — from the first page to the last, this special publication is stunning. To begin with, it is a creative departure from the typical publication, and yet it retains the qualities that assure readers will share and save it – great photography, bold and current typography and compelling stories that show off the brand and the industry behind it. Fresh demonstrates broad, creative thinking in content and use. This publication could hold its own among tonier cooking/lifestyle magazines. Hands down a real winner – the judges wanted their own copy!”

We were also honored to win in multiple categories at the National Milk Producers Federation Communication Competition. NMPF represents over 30 dairy cooperatives from around the nation and FRESH 4 won First Place in Photography and Best of Class for Special Projects.

If you haven’t had a chance to experience FRESH for yourself, you can order the magazine here, along with our new FRESH minis! We’ve also shared a few FRESH recipes like homemade ricotta cheese and compound butter to tempt your taste buds.
