AP Studios / Happy Hour: Meyer Lemon Cocktail

We love when Sunkist comes to the Studio. Besides the lemony fresh scent filling the air, our client Joy makes some damn delicious cocktails at the end of a long shoot. Her latest creation features the sweet Meyer lemon which is “actually a cross between a lemon and possibly an orange or a mandarin.” The sweetness of the lemon with agave syrup, vodka and lemon thyme is bursting with freshness. You may have to double or triple this recipe–you will want seconds.

Meyer Lemon Cocktail

Makes one cocktail

1 ounce fresh meyer lemon juice

2 wedges meyer lemon

1 1/2 ounce vodka

2 sprigs lemon thyme

1 tablespoon agave syrup

In a shaker muddle the lemon juice, lemons wedges, vodka and ice together. Add thyme and agave syrup and shake well. Serve in a martini glass with a lemon wedge and an extra sprig of thyme.
